DESCRIPTION

The 2013-2014 NHL Stanley Cup playoff series were witness to one of the most exciting hockey games the Montreal Canadiens played in the last decade. After eliminating the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Boston Bruins and coming short of winning against the New York Rangers after losing its primary goaltender due to injury, the series revived a city that was marked by endless discussions about corruption, collusion and suspicious provincial and municipal politics.  During the playoffs, the city hurried to watch their team play in the Bell Centre, and those that didn’t have tickets made new friends as they watched the matches outside. For a few weeks, every Montrealer was equal to one another as they all cheered for their loving team in one accord.
